Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has summoned Al Falah University chairman Javed Ahmed Siddiqui over alleged fraud and irregularities flagged by the UGC and NAAC. The summons comes after the November 10 Red Fort car blast, in which two accused, Umar Nabi and Muzammil Ganai, were employees of the Al Falah Medical Research Foundation. Police have asked Siddiqui to submit all documents related to the trust, funding, and university accreditation. Investigators say planning for the suspected terror attack took place on the campus. Al Falah University has also lost AIU membership. Police will review past cases filed against Siddiqui as well. (PC: The Indian Express)
