India captain Shubman Gill is unlikely to play the second Test against South Africa in Guwahati after being advised not to fly due to acute neck pain. Gill injured his neck while batting on Day 2 of the first Test and later retired hurt. Medical scans showed neck spasms, and doctors have advised him to rest for three to four days and continue wearing a neck collar. The team is monitoring his recovery daily and will make a final decision by Tuesday. If he misses the match, India may turn to B Sai Sudharsan or Devdutt Padikkal as replacements.
