Gill injured his neck while batting on Day 2 of the first Test and later retired hurt. Medical scans showed neck spasms, and doctors have advised him to rest for three to four days and continue wearing a neck collar. The team is monitoring his recovery daily and will make a final decision by Tuesday. If he misses the match, India may turn to B Sai Sudharsan or Devdutt Padikkal as replacements.
