The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu & Kashmir Police raided Kashmir Times' Jammu office on November 20, seizing AK-47 cartridges, pistol rounds, and hand-grenade pins. Authorities launched the probe following an FIR accusing the newspaper and its promoters of “anti-national” activities. Kashmir Times’ editors, Anuradha Bhasin and Prabodh Jamwal, called the raid a “coordinated attempt to silence independent journalism,” asserting that criticizing the government is not disloyalty. Deputy CM Surinder Singh Choudhary cautioned that action should be based on concrete wrongdoing, not used to intimidate. (PC: ANI)
