India’s blind women cricketers are chasing a historic title at the first Blind Women’s T20 World Cup. The team, made up of players from nine states, has overcome family pressure, poverty, and lack of support to reach this stage. Many players learned cricket only recently through schools and disability groups. India won all five league matches and was the first to enter the semi-finals. Captain Deepika TC, who lost her vision as a child, says the team wants to match the success of India’s sighted women.
