Bengaluru police have arrested three individuals, including police constable Annappa Naik and two employees of CMS Info Systems (Xavier, a former employee, and Gopi, a current employee), in connection with the November 19 broad-daylight cash van heist. The accused, part of a gang of six to eight members, allegedly intercepted an ATM cash-loading vehicle near Ashoka Pillar, posing as Income Tax and RBI officers, and fled with ₹7.11 crore. Police recovered ₹5.76 crore. Investigators noted the operation was meticulously planned over three months, avoiding CCTVs, using multiple languages, and frequent vehicle changes to mislead authorities. The manhunt for the remaining accused is ongoing across South Indian states. (PC: AFP)
