In a major breakthrough following the Delhi blast, co-accused Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie reportedly confessed to investigators that the pan-India terror plot was hatched in 2023. Shakeel, a Kashmiri doctor and alleged member of a Jaish-e-Mohammed linked module, was arrested after a joint operation in Faridabad led to the recovery of approximately 360 kg of ammonium nitrate and an AK-47 rifle from his rented accommodation.Sources indicate the network's targets included crowded markets and key government installations. Shakeel, along with another arrested doctor, was allegedly procuring vehicles for Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs), potentially for an "anniversary revenge attack" planned for December 6.
