Lakshya Sen won the Australian Open Super 500 title in Sydney on Saturday. He beat Japan’s Yushi Tanaka 21-15, 21-11 in just 38 minutes. This is his first BWF title of 2025 and his first big win since 2024. The 24-year-old had struggled after the Paris Olympics but showed strong form this week. Tanaka entered the final after two Super 300 wins this year, but Lakshya controlled the match with calm and sharp play. He is now the second Indian to win a BWF title this season.
