Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky softened his tone on Sunday after US President Donald Trump said Ukraine had shown “zero gratitude” for America’s latest peace plan. Trump criticised Kyiv for not appreciating the proposal, which includes several points favourable to Russia. Hours later, Zelensky posted on X that Ukraine is “grateful to the United States and personally to President Trump” for support that has saved lives. The exchange came as negotiators met in Geneva to discuss a 28-point US draft plan. Ukrainian officials said the new version reflects most of their key demands.
