Veteran actor Dharmendra died on Monday morning at his Mumbai home after a brief illness. He was 89 and would have turned 90 on December 8. The actor had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in October with breathlessness and was discharged 12 days later. His last rites will be performed at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. Family members and top film stars are expected to attend. Tributes have poured in from across India. PM Modi called his death “the end of an era,” while President Droupadi Murmu said Dharmendra was “a towering figure of Indian cinema.” (PC: X)
