A fresh FIR has been filed against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, creating new trouble for the Congress just before the winter session of Parliament. The Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing has named the two leaders and six others for alleged illegal takeover of Associated Journals Ltd through Young Indian. The Congress says the FIR is a political move and claims old cases are revived whenever the party raises key issues. The timing is important, as the court will announce its verdict on December 16.
