Midnight Blaze in Goa Club Kills 23 — Cylinder Blast Suspected, Most Victims Are Staff

At least 23 people died in a fire that broke out around midnight at the “Birch by Romeo Lane” nightclub in Arpora, North Goa. Police suspect the blaze was triggered by a gas cylinder explosion. The DGP and several senior officers responded immediately, and fire services brought the blaze under control by early morning. Most of the deceased were found in the kitchen, suggesting they were club staff. Among the dead are three women; reports also mention a few tourists. Authorities have launched an investigation, and Goa CM Pramod Sawant has ordered a detailed inquiry.
