IndiGo's operational crisis entered its sixth day Sunday with approximately 650 flight cancellations, 28% of daily 2,300 flights bringing weekend cancellations past 1,000. Over 2,000 flights cancelled since Tuesday last week have stranded thousands at major airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. The airline processed ₹610 crore in pending refunds and delivered 3,000 baggage pieces nationwide. DGCA granted IndiGo's CEO and accountable manager a 24-hour extension to respond to show cause notice citing inadequate staffing arrangements under new Flight Duty Time Limitations rules. Operations expected to stabilize by December 10, earlier than initially projected December 10-15 window.(PC: HT & Business Standard)
