A woman travelling alone on a train at Katihar Junction in Bihar had a terrifying experience when 30–40 men suddenly rushed into her reserved coach during a halt, shouting and pushing, making it impossible for her to exit the washroom she was using. Feeling unsafe, she locked herself inside the train toilet and recorded a video of the chaos outside. She then called the railway helpline (139) for help. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrived promptly, dispersed the crowd and escorted her back to her seat safely. The incident has sparked discussions about women’s safety and crowd control on Indian trains. (PC: HT)
