Virat Kohli broke a major world record during the first ODI against New Zealand in Vadodara on Sunday. He became the fastest player to reach 28,000 international runs, going past Sachin Tendulkar. India were cruising in the chase of 301 with Kohli and Shubman Gill steady at the crease. Earlier, New Zealand posted 300 for 8 after Daryl Mitchell scored 84 off 71 balls.
