US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington will take “very strong action” if Iran carries out executions of detained protesters. Speaking to CBS News, he said the US would respond if people are hanged. Rights groups say more than 2,400 protesters have been killed in the crackdown. Relatives of 26-year-old Erfan Soltani told BBC Persian that he faces execution this week after a court issued a death sentence within two days.
