2 labourers were killed and 11 others injured after a speeding car hit them in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday. The accident happened around 2 pm near Ekta Chowk, under Barela police station limits. The workers were installing road divider railings and had stopped for lunch when the car rammed into them. Police said the driver fled the spot after the incident. The injured were rushed to a government medical college. One labourer is in critical condition. All victims are from Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh. Police said the car had no registration plate and efforts are on to trace the absconding driver.
