Ten Indian Army soldiers were killed and nine injured when their vehicle fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Wednesday. The accident occurred at Khanni top along the Bhaderwah-Chamba interstate road. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha confirmed the deaths and extended condolences to the bereaved families, stating "we will always remember the outstanding service and supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers." The injured soldiers were airlifted to hospital for treatment. Sinha directed senior officials to ensure the best possible medical care and prayed for their speedy recovery.
