Kamal Dhyani, a 25-year-old call centre employee, called his twin at 12:50 am saying he’d be home in 15 minutes. His parents were waiting with their wedding anniversary cake in West Delhi, but he never arrived. The family searched all night, visiting his office and police stations. In the morning, police informed them Kamal’s body and his motorcycle were found at the bottom of a 15-foot-deep unbarricaded trench dug by the Delhi Jal Board in Janakpuri. He had allegedly fallen into the pit while riding home. The family has alleged negligence and demanded a detailed investigation. (PC: India Today)
