Gujarat’s state government has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Elon Musk’s Starlink to bring high‑speed, satellite‑based internet to remote and underserved regions of the western Indian state, aiming to bridge the digital divide. The deal, formalised in Gandhinagar, will target areas with limited broadband infrastructure, including tribal, border and rural districts. A joint working group will oversee implementation, enhancing connectivity for schools, health centres, e‑governance, disaster management and industrial zones, supporting Gujarat’s broader digital inclusion goals.
