Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh received an extortion threat via WhatsApp voice note demanding crores of rupees, prompting Mumbai Police to increase security outside his residence and launch an investigation. The sender allegedly claimed association with the Bishnoi gang, claims currently under verification. This follows a recent firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Juhu residence, where five people were arrested and Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Shubham Lonkar named as wanted accused. Ranveer Singh recently starred in blockbuster Dhurandhar, which grossed over Rs 1,305 crore worldwide, becoming the first Indian film crossing Rs 1,000 crore domestic collections in Hindi.
