India defeated Pakistan by 61 runs in their T20 World Cup 2026 match in Colombo and confirmed a place in the Super 8 stage. India scored 175 for 7 after strong knocks from Ishan Kishan and late hits from Rinku Singh. Pakistan were bowled out for 114 in the chase. Indian bowlers took regular wickets from the powerplay and never allowed a recovery. Hardik Pandya finished the match by bowling Usman Tariq. Kishan was named Player of the Match for his “77 off 40 balls.” The result improved India’s record to 8 wins in 9 T20 World Cup matches against Pakistan. Pakistan dropped to third in Group A.
