Israeli strikes hit key military sites in Tehran as fighting with Iran widened. The Israeli military said it struck army headquarters and fighter jets in different parts of the country. Two F5 and F4 jets were hit at Tabriz airport in western Iran, officials said. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said Air Force jets were carrying out “stand-in” operations over Tehran. He said a non-stop “air train” would continue attacks on selected targets. The Israeli military also claimed that most air defence systems in western and central Iran had been dismantled. Explosions were reported in several cities as tensions rose across the region. (PC: India Today)
