Six American soldiers were killed after an Iranian missile struck a US military facility in Kuwait, US officials confirmed. The United States Central Command first reported three deaths. The toll later rose to six after one soldier died of injuries and two bodies were found in the rubble. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said a “powerful weapon” hit a “tactical operations centre that was fortified”. Officials said the missile evaded air defences. US media reported the troops were working in a temporary office space. The US has more than 13,000 troops stationed in Kuwait. The strike came amid ongoing fighting between the US, Israel and Iran.
