Police in Scotland charged an Iranian man and a Romanian woman after they allegedly tried to enter a UK nuclear submarine base. The pair, aged 34 and 31, were stopped at Faslane base on Thursday. Police said, “The suspects were arrested and later charged.” They are set to appear in court on Monday. The base houses the UK’s Trident nuclear submarines. Officials said the attempt was unsuccessful and investigations are ongoing. A Navy spokesperson confirmed the incident but gave no further details.
