At least two attackers were killed and others injured after a gunfight with police outside the Israeli consulate in Istanbul on Tuesday. Police said the exchange of fire lasted around 10 minutes. Governor Davut Gul said two police officers suffered minor injuries. Reuters footage showed officers taking cover as shots were fired. One attacker was seen moving between police buses while shooting. Authorities said the attackers carried long weapons and came from Izmit in a rented car. Interior Minister Mustafa Cifti said one suspect had links to a group “exploiting religion.” An investigation is underway. (PC: The Indian Express)
