The Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy has announced the Bhimrao Ambedkar Prize in Global Pragmatism. The award honours B.R. Ambedkar and his global impact. It will recognise research linking American philosophy with thinkers from India, China, Africa, and other regions. The prize will be given each year at the group’s conference. SAAP president Tess Varner said the award shows the growing global reach of the field. Board member Scott Stroud said it will “encourage more research” across cultures.
