Police have banned gatherings in parts of Kolkata ahead of vote counting on May 4. The move follows clashes between Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party workers near counting centres. Strong rooms storing EVMs have been heavily secured. Extra police and central forces have been deployed. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also visited a centre and stayed for hours.
