Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is heading towards a strong debut in the 2026 Tamil Nadu election, with early trends showing it crossing 100 seats. The party is nearing the majority mark of 118 seats. TVK spokesperson Felix Gerald said, “DMK was running about in a dark room, now they know the reality, TVK will form govt on its own.” The ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is leading in over 50 seats. Voting was held on April 23. Security has been increased at Vijay’s residence and party office. (PC: X)
