At least 100 people were killed after heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds battered several districts across Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday evening. Prayagraj reported the highest toll with 21 deaths, followed by Bhadohi, Mirzapur, and Fatehpur. Trees and electric poles were uprooted, houses collapsed, and vehicles were crushed during the sudden storm. Several deaths were caused by wall collapses and lightning strikes. Videos from Bareilly showed powerful winds lifting a man and a tin shed into the air.
