Nearly 14 years after the 2012 Nirbhaya case shocked the nation, an alleged gang rape inside a moving bus in Delhi has once again raised serious concerns over women’s safety in the capital. Police said a 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a bus driver and conductor inside a Bihar-registered sleeper bus on Monday night. Investigators said the woman was pulled inside the vehicle near Saraswati Vihar after asking for the time. The bus reportedly kept moving towards Nangloi during the assault. The accused, identified as Umesh and Ramendra, have been arrested under gang rape charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. (PC: HT)
