Petrol and diesel prices were increased again across India on Saturday, marking the third fuel price hike in 10 days. State-run oil companies raised petrol prices by 87 paise per litre and diesel by 91 paise per litre. In Delhi, petrol now costs Rs 99.51 per litre while diesel is priced at Rs 92.49. Fuel rates also increased in Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Gurugram and Noida. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas earlier assured citizens that fuel supplies remain stable and advised against panic buying. Rising global crude oil prices and tensions in West Asia continue to increase pressure on India’s fuel import costs. (PC: India Today)
