Samarth Singh, husband of former actor-model Twisha Sharma, told police that she became emotionally distressed after an abortion and that her behaviour changed after learning about her pregnancy in April. Singh, who is on seven-day police remand in Bhopal, also claimed he had given Twisha Rs 7 lakh but did not explain why. The Central Bureau of Investigation has taken over the probe into Twisha’s death after Supreme Court directions. Twisha was found dead at her matrimonial home on May 12. Her family has accused Singh and his relatives of dowry harassment, abuse and tampering with evidence. Singh has denied the allegations. (PC: X)
