Actor Ram Charan praised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay for leaving a hugely successful film career at the height of his popularity to serve the public. Speaking at a promotional event for Peddi, Charan described Vijay's transition from cinema to politics as inspiring and wished him success in his new role. Vijay, founder of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), stepped away from acting to focus on politics and led his party to a landmark victory in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
