Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi met Class 12 student Vedant Shrivastava, whose CBSE answer-sheet mix-up sparked a nationwide controversy. In a video shared on Sunday, Gandhi mocked online attacks on Vedant and his family, who were labelled “anti-national”, “deep state agents” and even “terrorists” by some social media users. “Show the faces of these ‘terrorists’,” Gandhi said jokingly while speaking with Vedant and his brother about the abuse they faced online. Vedant had alleged that the Physics answer sheet provided by CBSE did not belong to him. The board later acknowledged the error, supplied the correct answer sheet and updated his result. (PC: HT)
