The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has acknowledged security vulnerabilities in its On-Screen Marking (OSM) portal following allegations that the system was compromised twice by ethical hackers. In its first public response, CBSE said it is closely monitoring the vulnerabilities identified in the portal operated by its service provider and has engaged cybersecurity experts from government agencies and IITs to strengthen security measures. The board said the identified flaws have been contained and the portal is being migrated to a more secure environment. CBSE also thanked ethical hackers and citizens who reported security concerns and invited further disclosures to help improve the system's safety. (PC: India Today)
