Zee Entertainment has secured the broadcasting rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in India, ending uncertainty over where fans could watch football's biggest tournament. The agreement, announced just days before the World Cup begins on June 11 in the United States, Canada and Mexico, also includes rights to 38 other FIFA events through 2034. India had been one of the last major markets without a confirmed broadcaster for the tournament. To strengthen its sports portfolio, Zee has also launched four dedicated sports channels, ensuring long-term coverage of international football for Indian viewers. (PC: India Today)
