Myanmar President Assures PM Modi Territory Will Not Be Used Against India's Security Interests

Myanmar President General Min Aung Hlaing has assured Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Myanmar's territory will not be allowed to be used against India's security interests. The assurance came during wide-ranging talks in New Delhi as the Myanmar leader concluded his four-day visit to India.   The two leaders discussed cooperation in security, trade, energy, technology and infrastructure. Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India's support for Myanmar's sovereignty and territorial integrity, while highlighting the country's importance in India's Neighbourhood First and Act East policies.   Both sides also reviewed economic ties, with bilateral trade exceeding $2 billion, and explored opportunities to expand cooperation across key sectors.
