Eight members of the Agarwal family were among the 21 people killed in the devastating fire at Delhi’s Flourish Stay B&B in Malviya Nagar. The family had booked two rooms at the hotel to remain close to a nearby hospital where patriarch Radhe Shyam Agarwal was undergoing treatment in the ICU. Those who died included chartered accountant Vivek Agarwal, his wife Tarjini, his mother Prem Lata, daughters Jivisa and Variya, and three relatives. According to family members, Vivek made a desperate phone call during the blaze, fearing they would not survive. The tragedy has left Radhe Shyam Agarwal as the sole surviving member of his immediate family. (PC: News18)
