Indian Army officer Major Abhilasha Barak has been honoured with the United Nations Military Gender Advocate of the Year Award for her work in promoting gender equality in peacekeeping missions. She is serving with the UN Interim Force in Lebanon and leads the Female Engagement Team, where she works closely with local women to build trust, improve communication, and support peace efforts.
