India enjoyed a successful start to the New Taipei City Athletics Open as long jumper Shaili Singh and the women's 4x100m relay team won gold medals, while hurdler Tejas Shirse secured a silver on Saturday. Shaili clinched the long jump title with an effort of 6.24m. The relay quartet of SS Sneha, Srabani Nanda, Sudeshna Shivankar and Tamanna clocked 44.07 seconds to win gold and equal the meet record. National record holder Tejas Shirse finished second in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 13.58 seconds, just behind Chinese Taipei's Hsieh Yuan-kai. (PC: X)
