Delhi Police have arrested a couple and their minor son for the murder of 49-year-old Delhi University assistant professor Debosmita Paul. Investigators said the accused allegedly killed her after she refused to sell them her ancestral property in West Bengal's Bardhaman, where they had been living as tenants since 2023. Police claimed the family travelled to Delhi with a pre-planned motive, used fake identities to stay at a guest house and murdered Paul inside her East Delhi flat. CCTV footage and technical surveillance helped trace the suspects, who were arrested in Bardhaman. Further investigation is underway. (PC: Indian today)
