Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised concerns over the deaths of Indian seafarers while addressing G7 leaders in Evian, France. Speaking in the presence of US President Donald Trump, Modi stressed the need to keep sea routes safe. "Several Indian civilians have also lost their lives," he said while referring to the impact of tensions in West Asia. Modi also said, "We must ensure that sea routes remain secure." His remarks came after three Indian crew members were killed in a US strike on an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. India has strongly protested the attacks.
