A Mexican woman was reunited with her missing dog after spotting the pet during a viral livestream of Mexico’s FIFA World Cup celebrations following the team’s 3-0 victory over Czechia. Six-year-old Gorda had been missing for nearly a month after disappearing from Ciudad Victoria. During the celebrations, a supporter was seen carrying the dog as a cameraman joked that “even the dog is celebrating.” Alejandra Garcia’s brother recognised Gorda in the livestream and alerted her. Garcia rushed to the location and successfully found her pet in the crowded streets. A veterinary check-up confirmed Gorda was healthy despite being underweight and suffering minor injuries after weeks spent wandering alone.
