Strong winds and dark clouds brought relief from the hot weather in Delhi-NCR on Saturday evening. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an Orange Alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds. Wind speeds were expected to reach 41 to 61 kmph in some areas. The IMD advised people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. Rain is likely to continue in Delhi and nearby states over the next few days. Heavy rainfall is expected to increase by July 3. However, some parts of Delhi and nearby states may still experience heatwave conditions until the end of June.
