"They Tried to Create Panic but Failed": PM Modi Hails India's Diplomacy for Beating West Asia Fuel Crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India successfully overcame the West Asia fuel crisis through strategic planning and strong diplomacy, claiming history would remember the country's response. Addressing a gathering in Balotra, Rajasthan, he said India expanded fuel imports from over 25 countries to more than 40 during the conflict, preventing shortages despite disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. He credited refinery upgrades, increased domestic LPG production, rapid expansion of PNG connections and government subsidies for keeping fuel supplies stable and prices under control. Modi also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth ₹1.06 lakh crore, including the Pachpadra Refinery.
