Rain and strong winds hit Delhi and the National Capital Region on Tuesday, bringing relief from hot and humid weather. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for heavy rainfall. In East of Kailash, a large tree fell on parked vehicles. No injuries were reported, and police and fire teams reached the spot. Rain also affected Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The IMD said more rain and thunderstorms are expected over the next few days. The fresh spell came after the southwest monsoon reached Delhi on July 2, ending weeks of intense summer heat.
