A 28-year-old pregnant woman in Madhya Pradesh's Mandla district gave birth to quadruplets inside an autorickshaw after her family allegedly failed to get an ambulance in time. The babies, born prematurely during the seventh month of pregnancy, were declared dead on arrival at a Community Health Centre. The family blamed the delay in ambulance services for the tragedy, saying timely medical assistance could have saved the newborns. However, health officials said the infants were underdeveloped, had very low birth weight, and died due to complications from premature delivery. The mother is stable and receiving treatment.
