India on Wednesday expressed "deep concern" over the renewed escalation in West Asia and called on all parties to exercise restraint and return to dialogue. The Ministry of External Affairs said the latest attacks risk undermining regional peace, security and stability while threatening the fragile Iran-US ceasefire. New Delhi also stressed the need to protect civilians and ensure the uninterrupted flow of energy supplies and commercial shipping. India reiterated that diplomacy remains the best way to resolve the crisis and urged all sides to avoid actions that could further escalate tensions in the strategically important region.
