Tragedy at Girnar Hill: Lion Kills 11-Year-Old Boy During Temple Pilgrimage

An 11-year-old boy was killed after a lion attacked him near the steps of Girnar Hill in Gujarat's Junagadh district on Saturday. The child, identified as Mayur Chauhan, was climbing the hill with his family to visit the Ambaji Temple when he stopped to rest near the 50th step. A lion suddenly emerged from the nearby forest, seized the boy, and dragged him into the woods despite the presence of pilgrims. Forest officials and rescue teams later recovered the child's body.
