At least 3 people were killed after heavy rain triggered flash floods and a massive landslide in Mon town, Nagaland, on Sunday. Around 10 to 15 houses were buried or washed away, and several people are feared trapped under the debris. Rescue teams from the Assam Rifles, NDRF and Nagaland Police are searching for survivors despite continuous rain and blocked roads. “The state government is closely monitoring the situation,” Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said. Authorities have moved affected families to safer places and urged people to stay away from landslide-prone areas as heavy rain is expected to continue.
